Cast your burden on the Lord,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22
Give it daily.
So, I haven’t posted a blog in quite a while. It has been a busy, very full few months, with a lot of ups and downs and everything in between, but last night God put something on my heart to share.
I feel like I’ve entered a new level of trust in many areas and circumstances in my life right now and last night as I was journaling to the Lord about this, I felt that He said that we are to “give it daily”.
- Give up your Trust
- Give up your Rights
- Give up your cares —TO GOD
In an ever-changing world with many obstacles and trials we are to give up these things to the Father on a daily base. OF COURSE this is a process and I am not saying this is easy, or like a “checklist”, but these are keys to having true peace that God offers us. Because of His love.
So as I sat there, I felt like God was saying to “give up your cares to God first…so that there’s Room in your hands and heart to hold on to Trust, to hold on to Him.” If we’re weighed down and heavy with our cares, concerns, and worries, real life trials, we become distracted from simple faith and Trusting Him. Our ‘hands’ are too full for us to hold on to Him.
Give up your rights to God.
I asked the Lord, what exactly does that cover? Which rights am I to give up to Him?
For me, the rights He is asking of me are the the rights of Knowing.
The rights of knowing the way before me, what lies ahead??… The rights of knowing the answers and the “whys”… The rights of knowing what God is up to and what He’s doing in my life. ..and what He’s going to do in the future with my “Next”.
If we were meant to know we would know and when we are meant to know He will show us. We have to give up those rights to God. I have to give up those rights to God and to trust and know that He knows the way.
Give up your trust to God. Daily.
After we make the decision and choose to give up our cares and our rights to God, now our hands, hearts, and minds, are open to Trust. Trust that He knows all things. Trust that He is with us and is every ready when we call. His abounding in love and fights for us through it all. And Daily, because we need it. and it gives us daily communication with Him, which He loves and longs for.
Around 3:00 am this morning God gave me these scriptures that encouraged me so I’m passing them on to you as we trust Him together for what He is doing right now, in Jesus Name.
“You are my strength; I wait for you to rescue me,
for you, O God, are my fortress.
In his unfailing love, my God will stand with me.
He will let me look down in triumph on all my enemies.
But as for me, I will sing about your power.
Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.
For you have been my refuge,
a place of safety when I am in distress.
O my Strength, to you I sing praises,
for you, O God, are my refuge,
the God who shows me unfailing love.”
Psalm 59: 9, 16-17-
